About

Reynier Village HOME & GARDEN started in May 2009 as a collaboration between two friends who live in Reynier Village, Elisa Leonelli and Deni Mosser. We celebrate the beauty that is in our community,  and we’re interested in gardens, fresh food you can grow, eco-friendly energy solutions, preserving original architecture and great neighborhood businesses.

White stucco, red tile roof, a clean Reynier Village Spanish-style home

The Reynier Village boundary in Los Angeles, CA is Cadillac Avenue on the north, Garth Avenue on the east, the Santa Monica Fwy on the south and Robertson Boulevard on the west. See map.

It is truly amazing to see how many of the 1930s Spanish facades have been lovingly preserved, how varied are the color schemes, how much care has been lavished on beautiful flower and plant arrangements.  It makes you wonder what’s behind all that beauty in those hidden backyards.  We know that some neighbors are growing organic fruits and vegetables.  We hope that you’re considering collecting water in rain barrels, installing solar panels to be energy-independent and feed back electricity to the city.

Please tell us about your home and garden or your recommendation for a neighborhood business. You may email us at Reynier Village.   We look forward to hearing from you!

P.S. By 2012, when Elisa Leonelli created the RVNA website as the new Webmaster, the renamed Reynier Village Blog had expanded to include more categories: Art & Culture, Food  & Dining, Robertson Blvd, Culver City, etc. In March 2012 Deni Mosser became Contributor. In June 2015 Joseph Martinez was added as Author. Here you will only find the posts by Elisa Leonelli, click on this link to read the complete Reynier Village Blog.

Great site! Brings attention to some very underrated and underrepresented architectural styles. Keep up the good work!
